OUR STORY

Founded in 2015 in the heart of Calgary, Outlaw Dance

(formerly Outlaw Country Ltd.) has become one of Alberta’s most recognized country dance studios and performance companies. What began as a passion for country swing and line dance has grown into a full-scale dance community for all ages, offering classes, recreational and professional teams, private lessons, weddings, corporate events, non-profit entertainment, and large-scale performances.

We specialize in modern country swing, line dance, partner dance, lifts, and performance choreography, blending strong technical foundations with real-world, social dance skills you can actually use — at bars, weddings, festivals, events, and beyond.

At Outlaw Dance, we believe great dance education should be approachable, inclusive, and confidence-building. You don’t need experience, a partner, or a certain “look” to belong here. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or refining advanced skills, our instructors meet you at your level and

help you grow from there.

EDUCATION BEYOND THE STUDIO

Outlaw Dance’s commitment to quality instruction extends beyond our studio walls. Founder Dannica Robertson is also a published dance educator and contributor on WikiHow, one of the world’s largest instructional platforms. Her step-by-step dance guides reach a global audience, helping make country and social dance accessible to beginners everywhere.
