About the Role
Instruct individuals and groups in the art of country swing dancing, covering both lead and follow roles.
Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and skill levels.
Provide clear demonstrations and instructions to ensure participants grasp dance concepts effectively.
Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes growth and enjoyment for all dancers.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate varying crowd sizes and venue configurations.
Stay updated on evolving trends and traditional country swing techniques to enhance instructional content.
Collaborate with team members to organize and promote country swing events, workshops, and performances.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Country Swing Instructor or similar role, with expertise in both lead and follow roles.
In-depth knowledge of country swing dance styles, including but not limited to East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and Texas Two-Step.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with dancers of all ages and backgrounds.
Comfortable teaching in front of diverse audiences in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to convey dance techniques clearly.
Enthusiasm, patience, and a passion for sharing the joy of country swing dancing with others.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
CPR and first aid certification (preferred but not mandatory).
