About the Role
Instruct students in a diverse range of dance genres, including jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, and/or more.
Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
Provide clear demonstrations and instructions to ensure students grasp dance techniques and choreography effectively.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different age groups, skill levels, and learning styles.
Prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations as required.
Collaborate with team members to organize and coordinate dance events, showcases, and workshops.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dance Instructor, with expertise in teaching multiple dance styles.
Strong proficiency in various dance techniques, including jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, and/or contemporary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds.
Comfortable teaching in front of groups of varying sizes in both studio and performance settings.
Passion for dance education and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by class schedules and events.
CPR and first aid certification (preferred but not mandatory).
